Generation Google Scholarship 2023 | Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Generation Google Scholarship 2023 are listed as follows;

Eligibility for Women in Computer Science:

To be considered for the Generation Google Scholarship 2023 for Women in Computer Science;

  • Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2022-2023 academic year
  • Plan to be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe, the Middle East or Africa for the academic year 2023-2023
  • Study computer science, computer engineering or a closely related technical field
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for improving the representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.

Eligibility for women in gaming:

To be eligible for the Generation Google Scholarship 2022 for Women in Gaming; applicants must;

  • Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2022-2023 academic year
  • Intend to enroll in or be accepted as a full-time student in a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe, the Middle East or Africa for the 2023-2024 academic year
  • Study video game programming, game engineering, game design and development, or a closely related field in gaming
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • Show leadership and show passion for increasing women’s involvement in gaming.

Eligibility for Women in Computer Science in Ireland:

To be considered for the Generation Google Scholarship 2023 for Women in Computer Science in Ireland, applicants must;

  • Be currently enrolled as a first or second year university student in Ireland for the academic year 2022-2023
  • Plan to continue their undergraduate degree at a university in Ireland for at least the academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025
  • Study computer science, computer engineering or a closely related technical field
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for improving the representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology

Scholarship Benefits

scholarship winners in computer science and gaming will each receive a prize of 7,000 EUR (or local equivalent) for the 2023-2024 academic year. Google Generation scientists in Ireland will each receive EUR 5,000 for two years of their undergraduate studies.
