The Borno State University (BOSU) Admission List For both UTME, Direct Entry and Remedial Science for the 2022/2023 Academic Year is out, all applicants can now check if they are successfully admitted into BOSU.
This article is to inform all the UTME, Direct Entry (DE) and Remedial science applicants who applied for the Borno State University (BOSU), Maiduguri, as their first choice institution during the 2022/2023 admission year that they can now check their admission status online.

How to Check BOSU Admission List
The listed applicants below have been offered Admission into the Degree Programmes of Borno State University (BOSU) for the 2022/2023 Academic Year.
Successfully admitted candidates are advised to:
Log on to your JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT the admission.
Then Print the JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
Print the original JAMB result (this comes with passport photography on it).
Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case you are offered courses different from the ones you applied for.
Applicants not yet admitted should note that admission is in progress, and check the JAMB site and the University website for their admission status from time to time.

Go to the JAMB E-Facility portal at jamb.gov.ng/efacility/.
Log on to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
Scroll down then find and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ button.
Choose your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the provided spaces.
Lastly, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to see your BOSU admission status.

Brief History of BOSU Borno
The real idea to create a State University in Borno State was first thought of by the administration of Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff which was brought to life by Honorable Kashim Shettima, the former Executive Governor of Borno State. The Government clearly showed his determination to provide sound and qualitative education in Borno State. It aimed at providing a good tertiary institution for thousands of our Senior Secondary School Certificate students at a time of stiff competition for admissions into university of which Borno State is a catchment area and host location.
Appreciating the fact that the present number of Universities in the country can hardly accommodate more than 20% of the total number of candidates seeking admissions each year, particularly Borno State indigenes who have met the requirements for admission into universities were left roaming the streets, largely due to inadequate spaces in the existing universities. This situation readily called for the need to establish a state owned University in Borno State.
The Vision of the Borno State University BOSU is to develop an institution of higher learning that shall be a Centre of Excellence in teaching, leaning and research where high quality University education is imparted to all without discrimination, for the fast transformation of the Communities.
