The University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom – UNIUYO Post UTME/DE Application Form for 2022/23 Academic Year is now out online to apply.
The University of Uyo invites applicants who choose the institution as their 1st Choice in the 2022/2023 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and had a minimum score of 140 to apply for admission.

Applicants who made the University their 1st Choice in the 2022/2023 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) application are eligible for screening.
Ways to Apply UNIUYO POST UTME/DE
All eligible applicants should pay a non-refundable sum of N2,000.00 (Two thousand naira) only through the University Portal.
Online Registration and Payment Instruction
1. Go to http://uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals or uniuyo.edu.ng (Click on e-portals link)
2. Choose Admission Forms Link
3. Choose Post-UTME or Direct Entry (DE) as the Admission Form Type
4. Enter your phone Number and Email address respectively.
5. Click on the “MAKE PAYMENT NOW” button to pay.
6. Payment can be made online through ATM card/Online banking or at any branch of all the Banks using pre-payment slip through Remita RRR.
7. After paying, Go to the online portal and click on Register Link to get your login information to complete your application.
8. Printout the 2022/2023 Screening Exercise Slip as evidence.
REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIUYO POST UTME
I. Applicants are required to fill out the Bio-Data form correctly.
ii. Direct Entry (DE) Applicants are also required to scan and upload the original of their academic qualifications.
iii. Applicants are expected to submit their completed bio-data forms online (please submit only once).
NB:
i. Applicants who upload wrong or incomplete bio-data will automatically be kicked out.
ii. No applicant is required to upload any photograph or biometric capture, as pictures and biometric of candidates have been supplied by JAMB.
iii. Applicants who do not register for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise will not be given admission. However Foreign applicants, Inmates in Prisons, as well as Blind and Deaf candidates are exempted from the Post-UTME Screening Exercise.
iv. Applicants with AWAITING RESULTS can also apply.

Brief History of UNIUYO
The University of Uyo was established in 1991 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. At the time, there existed in Uyo the University of Cross River State which was established in 1981 by the then Cross River State Government.
In 1987 Akwa Ibom State with headquarters at Uyo was made out of the Cross River State and from that time up to the time of Federal Government take-over in 1991, the University was jointly owned by Akwa Ibom and Cross River State Governments.
When first proposed by the President, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the University was to be a Federal University of Technology (FUT) and the Campus of the University of Cross River State at Uyo was to be the nucleus of the proposed University.
