Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has visited Nigeria’s former president Goodluck Jonathan ahead of next year’s presidential election.
According to Obi, he and Jonathan exchanged views on issues of national importance during the meeting.
The former governor of Anambra shared photos of the visit on his Twitter page on Thursday, claiming their discussion covered a range of questions of national importance ahead of the election.
“I recently visited my older brother, HE @GEJonathan, to discuss a series of serious questions of national interest. -PO,” Obi wrote alongside the photos.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said the campaign for the presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on September 28, 2022, while those of the governorship and state houses will begin on October 12, 2022.
The last political party campaign for the presidential and national assembly is midnight on February 23, 2023, while that of the governorship and state assembly is at midnight on March 9, 2023.
