Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi team up for next year’s edition (video)

Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi will join forces for next year’s edition. The next edition of Big Brother in Africa will be a new spin edition that will air on DStv in Africa in early 2023 and will feature an ‘all-stars’ competition between Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi, with winners from past seasons of both shows from South Africa and Nigeria.

After five seasons of Big Brother Mzansi, the first two of which were called Big Brother SA, and seven seasons of Big Brother Naija in Nigeria, MultiChoice and M-Net are trying to create a show called Big Brother Face-Off that will replace the previous competitors of the versions of both countries.

This was made public at the MCSshowcase2022 by the Multichoice CEO John Ugbe announcing the new season of Big Brother next year.

Between 2003 and 2014, M-Net produced nine seasons of Big Brother Africa for DStv subscribers, in addition to the Nigerian and South African versions.

During that time, there were ten additional winners, although it’s unclear whether those ten people might also qualify for an invitation to return for Big Brother Face-Off.
