The British High Commission’s offices in Abuja, Lagos and across Nigeria will be closed on Monday, September 19, as the UK buries its late Queen Elizabeth II in London.
This is stated in a statement posted Friday on the UK’s official Twitter page in Nigeria, @UKinNigeria.
However, the tweet said the UK visa application centers in Abuja and Lagos will not be affected by the closure.
The statement read: “Our British High Commission offices in Abuja, Lagos and across the country will be closed on Monday 19 September 2022 in connection with the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. UK visa application centers in Abuja and Lagos remain open. God protect the king!”
