“Lazy hands bring poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. He who reaps the harvest in the summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a shameful son.” Proverbs 10. 4-5
There are many components to achieving success in life and one of those indispensable components is hard work. If our lives count, we have to work hard. There is no substitute for hard work.
“Hard work is a learned skill, but it takes years of practice and intention. People often begin to develop this skill during childhood. While the ability to work hard is more natural for some people, it is not a fixed trait or personality trait. Therefore, it cannot be identified by a personality test. So you shouldn’t be asking, “Is hard work a character trait?” or “Is hardworking a personality trait?” Rather, the question should be, “What makes a hard worker and how can I hire them?” Chally.com
Success is not for the lazy or complacent. Sloth and laziness are good grounds for destruction and foolishness. The vain mind, they say, is the devil’s workshop.
“Avoid laziness and fill all the spaces of your time with hard and useful work; for lust creeps easily into that emptiness where the soul is idle and the body at ease; for no easy, healthy, lazy person was ever chaste when tempted; but of all occupations, physical labor is the most profitable and of the greatest benefit for the expulsion of the devil.” Jeremy Taylor
Hard work pays off.
“All the hard work pays off, but talking only leads to poverty. “The riches of the wise are their crown, but the foolishness of fools produces foolishness.” Proverbs 14.23-24
“Lazy people want a lot but get little, but those who work hard will thrive.” Proverbs 13.4
There is no substitute for hard work.
“Most of us agree that talent is important. In fact, many experts dispute the idea that hard work always takes precedence over talent. The caveat: hard work should be the common factor for anyone who wants to be successful, regardless of talent. No amount of talent can replace hard work. If you have a natural ability, don’t expect it to automatically generate success. It will not.” donald. C Kelly
How to develop the culture of hard work?
- Know what your responsibilities are.
“What is success? I think it’s a mixture of having a flair for what you do; knowing that it is not enough, that you have to work hard and have a certain goal in mind.” Margaret Thatcher
