EFCC arrests siblings, 14 others for internet fraud in Kwara

Employees of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ilorin Zonal Command have arrested 16 people on suspicion of cybercrime and possession of fraudulent funds in Ilorin, Kwara state.

The statement from the head of Media and Publicity of the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwu Jaar, states that eight exotic cars, telephones and laptops have been recovered, among other things.

The EFCC also said the suspects were arrested on Thursday, after intelligence was being worked on by the commission.

“The suspects are two siblings; Ahmed Ismail and Toheeb Ismail including Suleiman Abduqudri Salati, Nurudeen Ibrahim, Boluwasefe Oyinloye, Bashir Azeez, Abduquodri Ibrahim, Raji Roqeeb, Tobiloba Raihan, Busari Mohammed.

Others include Olaoye Kolade, Bello Muhammed, Onime Bright, Adebayo Bolaji, Abdulqudus Zakariya and Adeleke Hassan.

The statement also states that the suspects will soon appear in court once the investigation is completed.
