The immediate former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof. Sebastiane Maimako, has been appointed Director General of the All Progressives Congress Governor General Campaign Board in Plateau State.
The APC made the appointment in a statement released Friday evening by the Secretary of State for Publicity, Sylvanus Namang
The statement read in part: “The All Progressives Congress, Plateau State Chapter, after strategic and wide-ranging consultation, has released key nominations to its gubernatorial campaign council ahead of the 2023 general election.
“The Campaign Council, which will be chaired by Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, the state governor candidate with Hon. Rufus Bature, the APC chairman of the state, has the following key officers as deputy chairman:
“Director General, Prof Sebastian S Maimako; Deputy DG (Operations) – Rt Hon Shehu Yipmong; Deputy DG (Administration) – Comrade Jibrin Bancir; Deputy DG (Election Management) – Hon. Ernest Daa; Secretary of the Campaign Council – Prof. dr. Shem Bindas.”
The statement said the appointments, effective immediately, reflect the various geopolitical, religious and ethnic interests of the state.
It added that other remaining appointments to the respective campaign board directorates will be made in due course.
