MTN and Ultima Studios Bring ‘Family Feud’ Game Show to Nigerian Screens

The globally acclaimed game show ‘Family Feud’ will be shown nationwide from October 7, courtesy of leading technology company and title sponsor, MTN Nigeria, in partnership with Ultima Studios, Nigeria’s premier production company. MTN’s support for the show was announced Wednesday at an event at Ikoyi’s headquarters, where popular actress, Bisola Aiyeola, was named as the show’s host.

The show promises hilarious and inclusive entertainment as it shows a wide range of Nigerian families competing for money and other prizes. Each show features two ‘families’ of five competing as they try to guess the most popular answers to a series of survey questions, with a uniquely Nigerian twist, posed to 100 people.

During the event, Ag. Chief Digital Officer, MTN Nigeria, Aisha Umar-Mumuni, said: “One of the things that keeps families together is shared activity, and whether it’s ‘Family Feud’ or watching weekly episodes, the show gives people another opportunity to band. It will be informative, comical and show the personalities of different families from generation to generation. It will be exciting to watch.”

“Family Feud is a relaxing game show with a healthy dose of humor and laughter that is sure to refresh and reconnect families and friends, while also rewarding them for playing and winning cash and other prizes,” said Femi Ayeni, Chief Executive Officer , Ultima studios.

“The show gets even more interesting because the five contestants in each family can be nuclear family members, friends from work, neighbors, old boys or old girls from schools, and almost any relationship that binds us together in a community. The families can play to win up to N5 million and make sure every family member becomes a millionaire thanks to our main sponsors – MTN,” added Ayeni.

A highlight of the event was the announcement of Bisola Aiyeola as the host of the show. She expressed her excitement by saying, “I am thrilled to host ‘Family Feud’. It’s a show I’ve come to love, and I’m looking forward to sharing the experience with families across Nigeria. Before the premiere episode of Family Feud Nigeria in October 2022, subscribers can prepare Family Feud Nigeria and win money every day by participating in a humorous trivia contest. More than 200 subscribers with the highest points are rewarded with N10,000 every month.

The show will be broadcast first on DSTV and GoTV’s Africa Magic Family and Africa Magic Urban – from October 7, 2022. The broadcast will be expanded to several terrestrial TV channels in 2023, with the NTA Network leading the way.
