My problem with sore teeth

I have had severe pain in my teeth for the past few weeks. Please let me know how I can treat the problem and maintain good oral hygiene.

Dentists have confirmed that the best way to maintain good oral hygiene is to brush your teeth twice a day – in the morning and evening. They also advocate good brushing technique, namely the up and down movement of the toothbrush instead of the sideways movement which does not sufficiently clean the teeth. You should also replace your toothbrush regularly (once every 3 months) or as soon as the bristles of the brush start to spread. The above should of course be done in conjunction with a balanced diet and avoiding excessive consumption of sugar, pastries and sweets. However, if the pain in your teeth does not go away despite the above tips, you should see an oral surgeon for a proper examination and treatment.
