New Sarkin Fulani with turban in Imo, charged with assuring peace

Fulani’s new leader in Imo (Sarkin Fulani) state, Alhaji Abdulahi Umaro, has been given a turban to ensure peace between ranchers and farmers in the state.

The leader of Sarkin Hausawa and the northern community of Imo state, Alhaji Auwal Babar Sulaiman, said the essence of the new leader’s coronation was to fill the space left by the death of the former leader, the late Mallan Yahaya Haruna.

He said the entire northern community and the Fulani residents in the state decided to give the new Fulani leader a turban to enable him to amicably deal with the lingering problem between the ranchers and farmers in the state. .

He said: “The Fulani resident in Imo state cannot be without someone or a leader who will warn them when they give details or mediate in a Fulani and For case.”

Alhaji Sulaiman said the entire northern community agreed and accepted that the leader who can be trusted is chosen because of his track record.

The northern leader said the new Fulani leader has worked closely with the former leader before his coronation, adding that he is the only Fulani man trusted by his people living in the state.

While praying that his rein in the state would be successful, given the support that would be drawn from the Sarkin Hausawa palace and the entire northern community, Alhaji assured Sulaiman of their continued support.

He also promised to bring the new Fulani leader to the governor and security forces in the state for introduction and their support.

In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Gender, Vulnerable and Northern Affairs (men), Hon. Sulaiman Ibrahim Sulaiman, secured government support for the new Fulani leader in the state to ensure an effective and positive rein during his term.

He advised the new leader to ensure lasting peace between the herdsmen and farmers in the state, adding that regardless of the course of the ongoing problem between the pastoralists and farmers, it should end immediately.

Also, Chairman Miyetti Allah, State Imo, Alhaji Muhamad Diko Ahara, expressed joy at the turban of a Fulani leader whose core job is to coordinate the activities of pastoralists in the state.

While advising both the ranchers and the farmers in the state to show their concern and support for each other’s property, Ajara advised the ranchers not to enter farms while advising farmers not to kill cows but report to the proper departments for actions.

The new Fulani Leader (Sarkin Fulani) Imo State, Alhaji Abdulahi Umaro, thanked the Northern Leader and Sarkin Hausawa and other Northerners and Fulanies for the responsibilities entrusted to him.

He assured that he would use his office to deal with all the issues between the ranchers and farmers in the state.

The new Sarkin Fulani called for everyone’s support to succeed in his new office.
